This is why the Girl makes me crazy. Third floor balcony, folks!
Oh, goodness, look at her! LDH would be having apoplexy…
I sent this to a close friend — his response was about what LDH’s would be!I hate that she sneaks out there, but letting her slide under the railing means she’s careful. Otherwise, she tries to jump to the top. Well, once. She almost missed the catch, and fortunately, I was there to grab her, but I think she realized she was way too high up to try that again!
That is totally frickin’ terrifying, but what a gorgeous girl you have!! So pretty…and adventurous…
Eeek! Are you allowed to nail down netting between the bottom of the rail and the balcony floor?
This is why they have 9 lives…crikey, that’s a brave cat.
Wegie — I’m scared if I cut off the low access, she’ll just try to jump to the top of the railing. If I thought that the netting would hold (and be invisible enough for me to get away with it), I’d tack it up from roof to floor, but I don’t want to set her up with something that she’ll think will keep her from going over, but won’t if she puts too much pressure on it. I feel te same way with window screens. She’d like me to open the windows far enough that she can lie along the sill. But since she tends to start rolling on the sill and leaning against the screens, I just don’t open the windows that far — one sharp push, and the screen would pop out, and the kitty would go splat.
